Morrisons Purchases the Vion’s Winsford Meat Plant

Morrisons the only supermarket chain in the UK which operates its own meat processing plants today announced that it has purchased the Vion Winsford Site.

Vion UK acquired the Winfords site when they purchased Grampian Country Food Group. The site has changes ownership several times over the years and have included the Malton Bacon Plant and Unique as owners.

The Winsford site is currently a centralised fresh pork and lamb retail packing site and gives Morrisons significant opportunities in increasing their fresh meat range.
